Welcome.

I’m so glad you’re here!

Sometimes the holiest thing we can offer one another
is sacred space.

As a Spiritual Director,
I offer a quiet welcome.

Together, we practice holy listening—
becoming attentive to God’s presence
already unfolding in your life:

in your questions and longings,
in your doubts and your gratitude,
and in the places you do not yet know how to name.

I am rooted in the Christian contemplative tradition,
and believe Christ is a living presence,
inviting us into awareness,
love,
and union with God.

MEET BARB

To receive spiritual direction is to recognize that God does not solve our problems or answer all our questions, but leads us closer to the mystery of our existence, where all questions cease.

Things You Might Be Wondering About:

  • I offer Spiritual Direction as a ministry of presence.
A place to slow down, tell the truth, and listen together for God.

In this space, nothing needs to be rushed, fixed, or performed. We simply attend—to your life, to your interior movements, and to the quiet ways God meets you there. Over time, this listening can bring clarity, tenderness, and a deeper sense of being accompanied by God.

At times, I also offer group gatherings or retreats as spaces of shared listening and prayer.
Feel free to sign up below if you’d like to stay connected and hear about future offerings.

  • Spiritual direction is a prayerful listening relationship focused on noticing God’s presence and invitations in your life. Rather than fixing problems or setting goals, we slow down and pay attention to what is unfolding within you and how God may be meeting you there.

Counseling often focuses on emotional healing and mental health.
Coaching is usually goal-oriented and future-focused.

These approaches can complement one another, but spiritual direction offers a distinct space of presence, prayer, and companionship.

  • If you feel drawn to deeper listening, greater attentiveness to God, or a desire for companionship on your spiritual journey, Spiritual Direction might be a good next step.

Feel free to reach out (on the Begin A Conversation page) and we can schedule an initial conversation to discern together.

  • I offer Spiritual Direction on a sliding scale, typically ranging from $50 - $80 per session. If cost is a concern, please reach out—we can discern together what is possible.
